Suture dehiscence after mandibular fracture surgery



Patient:
Female, 56 years old
Diagnosis:
Postoperative wound healing disorder after surgery of a mandibular fracture (scarring on the neck after severe burns in childhood)
Underlying disease:
Immunosuppression after kidney transplantation, renal anaemia, hypertension, hyperthyrosis
Intervention:
Open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture of the atrophic mandible, suture dehiscence due to tension from a scar field below the surgical incision

Neck
