PlasmaDerm® - therapeutic effect with depth effect
PlasmaDerm® is mobile and easy to transport within the clinic. The therapy promotes wound healing, reduces the bacterial load – even with resistant pathogens – and improves microcirculation. Thanks to its simple and safe application, PlasmaDerm® can also be used by outpatient aftercare providers. This means that patients with chronic and infected wounds can often be treated more quickly or discharged home.

The innovative cold plasma therapy with deep effect activates central processes of wound healing.
Our cold plasma device is suitable for a wide range of indications
PlasmaDerm® generates the cold plasma directly on the wound surface and thus increases microcirculation down to the deeper tissue layers. This effect remains active for several hours and thus supports processes that are particularly relevant for chronic, stagnant or infected wounds.
Phase-appropriate wound management for chronic and poorly healing wounds,
z. B.:
- Ulcers in chronic venous insufficiency
- Ulcers in peripheral arterial occlusive disease (PAD)
- Mixed venous-arterial ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Pressure ulcers (decubitus)
- Infected wounds
Surgical wound care,
z. B.:
- Superficial wound infections
- Seam dehiscences
- Delayed postoperative wound healing
Supportive treatment for skin transplants,
z. B.:
- Conditioning of wounds before skin grafting
- Treatment of donor sites of split-thickness skin grafts
How PlasmaDerm® works
PlasmaDerm® technology combines two active principles: Directly generated cold plasma and a high-frequency electric field that acts on the body. Both address several levels that are disturbed in chronic wounds.

What is cold plasma?
Cold, physical, atmospheric plasma is an energy-rich gas consisting of free electrons, ions, neutral atoms and molecules as well as reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. It is created when ambient air is excited by electrical energy – for example, a high-frequency alternating voltage.
- Generated cold plasma
Is formed directly at the treatment area. It is created from nitrogen, oxygen and other gases in the ambient air, which are ionised between the nubs of the spacer. This creates new molecules, the so-called reactive gas species such as ozone and nitrogen monoxide. - Electric field
Proven to increase microcirculation for several hours – right down to the deep tissue layers. A decisive advantage of PlasmaDerm® that makes all the difference.

Your advantages of our PlasmaDerm® system
The technology was developed for safe, reproducible and delegable plasma therapy in clinics and practices. The application is intuitive and fits seamlessly into existing processes.

Flexible in clinics and outpatient structures
PlasmaDerm® therapy is mobile, easy to transport and time-saving to use. This means that PlasmaDerm® can be easily integrated into various clinical and outpatient settings - from the ward to the specialised wound centre.
Seamless integration into existing processes
PlasmaDerm® treatment is carried out simply as part of the dressing change and can be easily integrated into standard wound treatment - in all phases of wound healing.
Simple and uncomplicated

Transsectoral applicability

Suitable for large and small wounds

How PlasmaDerm® therapy works
The treatment is standardised and safe: each area is treated in two 90-second intervals. This double application enhances the therapeutic effect. For larger wounds, the spacer is gradually overlapped until the entire area is completely covered.
