Clinically proven effect of PlasmaDerm®

PlasmaDerm® utilises the effect of directly generated cold plasma on the wound surface and supplements it with an electrical field that has been proven to improve microcirculation down to deeper tissue layers. The depth effect, which lasts for hours and is unique to PlasmaDerm® in this form, can also support key wound healing processes.

Proven deep-acting microcirculation

Unique to PlasmaDerm®: Microcirculation is demonstrably increased down to deep tissue layers and over several hours – a key advantage that clearly distinguishes PlasmaDerm® from other procedures.

Influence on inflammatory processes

Regular use of the cold plasma therapy device helps to overcome the chronic inflammatory phase.

Reduction of the germ load

Cold plasma inactivates even multi-resistant germs and has a positive effect on the wound environment.

Promotion of wound healing

The combination of germ reduction, calmed inflammation and improved microcirculation creates optimum conditions for regeneration and can also reduce itching, pain and wound odour.

What is cold plasma?

Cold, physical, atmospheric plasma is an energy-rich gas consisting of free electrons, ions, neutral atoms and molecules as well as reactive oxygen and nitrogen species. It is created when ambient air is excited by electrical energy – for example, a high-frequency alternating voltage.

  1. Generated cold plasma
Is formed directly at the treatment area. It is created from nitrogen, oxygen and other gases in the ambient air, which are ionised between the nubs of the spacer. This creates new molecules, the so-called reactive gas species such as ozone and nitrogen monoxide.
  2. Electric field
Increases microcirculation demonstrably and for several hours – down to deep tissue layers. A decisive advantage of PlasmaDerm® that makes all the difference.
